The boats are between 22 and 46 feet and the costs range between $350 US and $1300 US based on an 8 hour day. Whenever possible, Phil offers free hotel pick-up in the morning (but offers no apology for the state of his car) and the optional 4 hours of looking at his thousands of fish photos and his 4 hour on board stand up comedy act are of no charge as well. The larger boats require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your reservation and most of these charters book well in advance during the high season. |

For the evening after your charter, Phil will deliver your ‘Catch of the Day’ to the El Dorado Restaurant on Los Muertos beach, make a reservation for you and your friends or family and arrange for your fish to be prepared in several very delicious ways. EVERYONE loves this experience. Check out ’Our Friend’s Comments’ to see what the feed back has been for this treat. The restaurant charges about $8.50 US per person to cook your fish and provide vegetables and the rest. To be truthful, on a few slow fishing days, Phil has emptied his freezer and provided the ‘Catch of the Day’ but he is such a great guy and hates it when you do not catch anything worth mounting or eating. |

Anything can happen on a fishing charter. Phil is holding a Sea Turtle that he gently picked up while fishing with the Dennis family from Ohio. This beautiful creature posed for a photo. And NO, it was not dead! Phil looks as surprised as the turtle. Pictured are Captain Daniel, Griffon, Brandon, Cooper, Phil in PV and a beautiful Golfina Turtle who remains unnamed. Considering her docile state, she is lucky to remain uneaten. |

Fish with the Rest or Fish with the Best! |

Well, maybe he's not the VERY best (except in his eyes) but he certainly is very good. Phil only charters the ‘Very Best Boats’ that Marina Vallarta and Los Peines have to offer and his Captains and Crew members are top notch in every respect. The ’Very Best Boats’ are not necessarily the most luxurious but rather the ones that will give you the best chance for a fantastic fishing charter. Not to mention Phil and Jeff coates won the tuna category in the 2005 Sailfish tournament WOW! |
|
The hot fishing areas around Puerto Vallarta cannot be compared to Cancun, Cozumel or even Cabo San Lucas. La Corbeteñia and El Banco are the prime locations for most of the year and they are 39 and 50 miles out so the speed of the boat is considerably more important than a helicopter pad or even a head. In the summer and fall season, it is always recommended that you book 10 or 12 hour charters, the distance and sheer size of the catches reduce an 8 hour charter to nothing more than a boat ride. |
|
Phil never guarantees that you will catch fish, but he does guarantee that the Captains and Crew will do their utmost to hook you up with whatever is available during your vacation. All of the boats use live bait and Penn Gold International gear and you are welcome to bring your own spin casting or fly rods to try your luck with your personal techniques. |
|
Phil claims to have a miracle cure for seasickness but you are going to have to book a charter with him to find out what it is. |
