Captain Cesar Ramirez speaks English fluently and is one of the best captains in Marina Vallarta. Everyone calls him ‘Pepino’, which actually means Cucumber and he explained that when he was a kid, he was very tall and thin and this name has stayed with him over the years. |

Cesar and mate David came to the rescue in the World Bill fishing Tournament when a boat broke down and they stepped in to host the contender. Phil was fortunate enough to be the observer for the day and met Richard Richardson who gave Phil his ‘Fishing Tip of the Month’ for December. This was definitely the best fishing tip that Phil has had to date. (stapling the fins of your bait to keep the dolphins from taking it) The MAGNIFICO was one of the few boats that hooked a Blue Marlin during this tournament. |
